Well let’s take your reputation to begin with, what are people saying about you? How many reviews do you have online? Do you have any reviews?
Then let’s look at how you are reaching your targeted audience. Does your business have an engaging website? Are you active on social media, the big ones, Facebook, Google+, Linkedin, Twitter? Does your business dominate the 1st page with directory listings, such as Yelp, Judy’s Book, Angie’s List, Bing, Yahoo?
How do you engage your current client base? Are you setting up loyalty programs? Do you even appreciate your current clients, by sending them a thank you? And are you staying in front of them with a newsletter?
These factors all add up to how you will be perceived or seen online, and when a referral does come to your website or looks your business up online will they be impressed or skip over you?
